Each landscape integrates our clients' aesthetic and lifestyle, the character of the site and our experience with the goal of creating an outdoor living space that exceeds expectations.
Our garden designs begin with a scaled drawing and continue through every detail and decision made during construction. By designing landscapes intended for our own installation and building our own designs, we provide a seamless process with a cohesive, beautiful product. The quality and craftsmanship of our construction ensures that each element of the garden enhances the design and is made to last. We dig by hand, rather than machine, and construct with local, natural materials. When possible, we emphasize drought tolerant plantings that provide healthy habitat for native creatures. Through our monthly garden development program, we care for and guide our projects into maturity and beyond.
Since 2002, we have built gardens that are on time and on budget and lasting relationships with our clients. We are licensed landscape contractors (OLCB #8508). Our services include, but are not limited to, landscape design, planting, stonework, irrigation, lighting and construction of decks and fences. We are happy to travel to other areas for a great project.

Buell and Rebecca are the principals of Mosaic Gardens. Their love of gardens is reflected not just in their work, but in their own space, which has been featured in Garden Design, Sunset and many other publications. In 2007, it was selected as one of Fine Gardening's Great Gardens.
Both graduates of the University of Texas at Austin, Buell and Rebecca were independently driven to find work that rewarded intellectual and creative thought, problem solving, outdoor work and building great personal relationships. Buell began his landscape career in 1995, Rebecca began hers in 2000. They met while working for Gardens, a groundbreaking landscape architecture design/build firm in Austin. In 2002, they moved to Eugene, Oregon and established Mosaic, which has been their primary focus and passion since. While building a project near Coos Bay, Oregon, they discovered the beauty of the Southern Oregon coast. In 2010, they purchased a second home/office there. When not designing and building gardens, Buell and Rebecca explore the rich, natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest with their dogs, cook with the bounty of incredible local produce and occasionally rest.
